A little about me.

My name is Ben Bertoli. I am a writer, board game designer, and full-time teacher currently residing in Indianapolis, Indiana. I produce occasional features and reviews for some of the world’s biggest gaming sites and publications, including Polygon, IGN, Game Informer and more. I focus on all aspects of the gaming world, but have a strong passion for gaming history, obscure collectibles, and all things Nintendo. I am also the creator and co-host of Memory Card, a gaming history podcast and website with a focus on the weird and wonderful that now updates sporadically.

In 2016 I signed on to pen 101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up for Quarto Kids publishing. The book launched in the fall of 2017 and has sold over 15,000 copies to date. In 2021 my wife and I successfully crowdfunded our first card game, Bark Magic. In 2023 we founded the board game design company Radish Games.
