A little about me.
I am a writer, board game designer, and full-time teacher currently residing in Indianapolis, Indiana. I produce occasional features and reviews for some of the world’s biggest gaming sites and publications, including Polygon, IGN, Game Informer and more. I focus on all aspects of the gaming world, but have a strong passion for gaming history, obscure collectibles, and all things Nintendo. In 2016 I signed on to pen 101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up for Quarto Kids publishing. I am currently hard at work on a second gaming history book. I also co-created and co-hosted Memory Card, a gaming history podcast with a focus on the weird and wonderful, from 2019 to 2023.
In 2021 my wife and I successfully crowdfunded our first card game, Bark Magic. In 2023 we founded the board game design company Radish Games, which has gone on to produce multiple new games, such as Head Hauntcho and Mythic Menu.
